I like this because first I got stuck on the 'SIN' at the end of the line. Then I got stuck at the "BEFOR" wondering where the 'e' had gone. Even re-reading it, the power of my expectations makes ripples in reading these points. 'Pledge' and 'sincerity' are lesser used words, both quite beautiful. Nice work
Really lovely Baz, I like the words in the pledge too and it is interesting to know the source. I enlarged it as much as I could on my laptop to see the texture which looks fab from what I can see. Hopefully can see these one day at your exhibition :)
I like this one the best, I regret now not taking photos of the different stages it took to make it.
Re: Exhibition. I have been toying with the idea of exhibiting in churches. At the moment it's just a nice thought in my head. I'm not sure how to pay for the logistics of actually moving the images around. I'm looking into arts council funding - but I've never done that before either.. it's all pretty new to me.
Best wishes Baz with sourcing funding and I think the idea of an exhibition in church sounds thrilling. A new gallery has just opened here in Cork, in an old church. The room inside is so beautiful and has so much open space that I think it will be perfect once they finishing developing it. Maybe with more time on your hands now it will be a blessing in disguise as you look into funding sources. I hope so.

ReplyDeleteHi Wendy
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words.
The phrase used was taken from a Muslim wedding vow.
Hi Baz, I really do like your work. There's something I can't quite put my finger on that really appeals. Do please keep posting it.
