If anyone is interested in looking, I've made an Issuu book of my String Theory sketchbook. I love sketchbooks and often get a lot more from the process of creating, than the final creation itself. The Sketchbook is A3 in size, ring bound with a lot of stuff paper clipped in and bound with string, sadly I couldn't add in the extras into this view. I hope you get the idea thou.

I'm certainly interested, this made very good viewing. I'm so impressed with how much you have managed to achieve creatively this year and am looking forward to 2012.
ReplyDeleteThanks Froggy, time will be a lot tighter next year, I've been lucky this year cos I've not had as much teaching work as usual.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand, the second half of 2011 was crazy busy for me but it does get better/easier. I really hope you had a good Christmas and New Year so far, mine was pretty good all in all.
ReplyDeleteBaz I am totally amazed at your sketchbook above. You have truly taken my breath away with it and I think it is fantastic online - I can just imagine the textures in it.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I learn so much for your posts: Issuu I will have to Google now. If it is ok with you, I am going to show my tutor this post with your sketchbook.
I hope your exhibition went well and I wish you the best of luck and happiness and health for 2012.
Thank you again for all your support, encouragement and advice in Uni choices. I have completed my application and my first choice is History of Art at UCC! I decided to go with the academic side of my brain in the end :)
Hi Dolly, thanks for your compliments, I'm glad you liked the sketchbook.. there were many things that pulled out and extra drawings/images that I couldn't photograph because they were on the same page and it wouldn't have worked in a book format like that. Check out my other sketchbook on the right hand side >> Discarded that was from 2008
ReplyDeleteIssuu is a good website and worth checking out. I love how they layout books, all you have to do is save your document in a word format and they'll convert it into that animated layout.
The exhibition went well, Dolly, and I managed to sell one painting, for £125! which is amazing. :)
I'm glad you've decided to do that art history course, I know you'll get a lot out of it. I wish I was doing something like that.. or fine art..
